International PhD program at ENS, Collège de France, ESPCI
The Institut de Biologie of the ENS (IBENS), the Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire of the Collège de France (CIRB) and the ESPCI have jointly established an International PhD Program funded by the Labex MemoLife. Foreign students with a strong background in Biology and related disciplines may apply, and successful candidates will be funded to spend the first year performing 2 internships (stipend), and the next 3 years as PhD students (PhD grant), in one of the 54 laboratories of the Labex MemoLife.
For the internships and/or for the PhD, several laboratories of the Labex are developing research programs in bioinformatics, quantitative genomics and evolution, image analysis, theoretical biology, modeling of biological processes:
- Computational Biology Center (Auguste Genovesio - IBENS)
- Modeling Biodiversity (Hélène Morlon - IBENS)
- Computational Systems Biology (Denis Thieffry - IBENS)
- Genome Organization and Dynamics (Hugues Roest Crollius, IBENS)
- Theoretical Modeling of Cellular Physiology (David Holcman - IBENS)
- Stochastic Models for the Inference of Life Evolution (Amaury Lambert (CIRB)
- Mathematical Neurosciences (Jonathan Touboul - CIRB)
Please note however that the PhD program is not limited to these groups, and that the Labex Memolife encompasses many disciplines in Neurobiology, Developmental Biology, Functional and Evolutionary Genomics, Microbiology etc.
Deadline for applications: 30th April 2015
More informations on how to apply at http://www.enseignement.biologie.ens.fr/phdprogram
